The Rot Within Iranian Intelligence

ASEAN NETWORK NEWS - This is the umpteenth time Iran has experienced a "breach" and failed counterintelligence operation. Iran has also experienced numerous counterintelligence failures. Many important Iranian figures and officials have been assassinated in intelligence operations allegedly carried out by the Mossad.

Several high-profile figures have fallen victim to the "assassination" allegedly carried out by the Israeli Mossad. Among them is Masoud Ali Mohammadi, the first person assassinated by Mossad, on January 12, 2010. He was a physics professor and a member of Iran's nuclear program development team. He was killed by a remote-controlled bomb planted on a motorcycle near his home in Tehran.

Majid Shahriari
On November 29, 2010, the founder of the Iranian Nuclear Union, Majid Shahriari, was assassinated by a magnetic bomb planted on his car by a motorcyclist in Tehran. Shahriari, a nuclear scientist assigned to one of the largest projects at the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, died instantly when the bomb exploded while he was driving.

Dariush Rezaeinejad
On July 23, 2011, electrical engineering doctoral student Dariush Rezaeinejad was shot multiple times by gunmen on a motorcycle outside his home in Tehran, while he was with his wife.

Mustafa Ahmadi Roshan
On January 11, 2012, chemical engineer and supervisor at a uranium enrichment facility, Mustafa Ahmadi Roshan, was killed, along with his driver, in a magnetic bomb explosion in his car.

Hassan Tehrani Moghadam
Israel has not only assassinated nuclear scientists but also targeted prominent military figures within Iran, with the aim of weakening Iran's strategic and defense capabilities. The most prominent of these was the assassination of Hassan Tehrani Moghadam.

Mohsen Fakhrizadeh
The assassination of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, Iran's chief nuclear scientist, by the Mossad on November 27, 2020, near Tehran, is considered one of the most complex operations ever carried out by the Israeli intelligence agency. According to a New York Times account, Fakhrizadeh was targeted using a remote-controlled machine gun mounted on a pickup truck. The weapon was operated remotely, ensuring no agents were on the ground during the execution.

Colonel Hassan Shoyyad Khodayei,
a prominent Iranian military figure, was also assassinated on May 22, 2022. He was a member of the elite Quds Force, the extraterritorial operational branch of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Khodayei was shot dead outside his home in Tehran by gunmen on motorcycles, a method similar to the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists. Iranian officials, including IRGC commanders, publicly accused Israel of being behind the attack and vowed severe retaliation.

Ismail Haniyeh
On the 299th day of Israel's aggression on Gaza, Wednesday (July 31, 2024), Hamas announced the martyrdom of its Political Bureau Chief, Ismail Haniyeh, in the Iranian capital, Tehran. Hamas reported that Ismail Haniyeh was martyred in a deadly Israeli attack on his hotel in Tehran. At the time, Ismail Haniyeh was visiting Tehran to attend the inauguration ceremony of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

It is known that the weakness and vulnerability of Iranian intelligence is due to traitors within the Iranian defense establishment. Mossad, through its agents, successfully carried out infiltration, intimidation, and various other intelligence efforts to gain information within the Iranian defense establishment.

This situation is further exacerbated by the collaboration of traitors who oppose the Iranian government, who provide important information to Mossad, resulting in the leak of vital information that could endanger Iran's defense and security.

After investigation, it was discovered that Mossad used intimidation methods such as spreading rumors about high-ranking Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) officials, including infidelity, threatening the families of IRGC members, and a series of other acts of terror.

During President Ahmaddinejad's presidency, he carried out a massive purge within the IRGC and other state security institutions, as it was suspected that many Mossad agents had infiltrated IRGC officials. (SNK)
