Indonesian Navy Conducts Nighttime Medical Evacuation for Elite Frogman

ASEAN NETWORK NEWS | On Wednesday (August 7 2025), the Indonesian Navy's Aviation Center (Puspenerbal) deployed a CN 235-220 MPA P-8306 aircraft from Air Wing 3 to carry out an aero-medical evacuation for a member of the Frogman Command (Satkopaska) assigned to Fleet Command III in Sorong, Papua.

Piloted by Navy Captain (P) Yudistira, the aircraft—which operates under the Fleet Command III's Maritime Combat Task Force (Guspurla)—departed from Domine Eduard Osok Airport in Sorong, heading towards Juanda Airport in Sidoarjo, East Java. Upon arrival, the evacuated personnel is scheduled to receive intensive medical treatment at the Dr. Ramelan Naval Central Hospital (RSPAL).

Navy Colonel (KH) Rohman Arif, Head of the Puspenerbal Information Service, emphasized that the mission strictly prioritized the patient's safety and comfort, particularly given the challenges of navigating a long-distance route during a nighttime flight.
